Cause And Treatment Of Transformer Backup Protection Action

2024-07-26 16:36:32

The reason for the transformer backup protection action is:

(1) Short circuit on the high voltage side of the transformer.

(2) transformer low voltage bus short circuit.

(3) The differential protection fails due to a failure within the differential protection range.

(4) Backup protection misoperation.

(5) The low-voltage line is faulty, and the outgoing line protection refuses to move, causing the transformer to trip over load.

The handling principles are:

(1) If the overcurrent protection action, found voltage drop, impact, arc, sound and other phenomena, should be inspected outside the transformer; If the fault can be eliminated in time, it can be tried once, otherwise safety measures should be taken to prepare for rush repair; If no problem is found, you can also try to send one; For transformers without differential protection, in addition to external inspection, insulation measurement inspection should also be carried out.

(2) If the low-voltage outlet fails and the line protection refuses to move, you can manually knock off the faulty line switch and then power the transformer.

(3) If the differential protection fails due to a fault within the differential protection range, it should be processed according to the differential protection action.

(4) If it is a secondary circuit fault, it is a misoperation or miscontact, and the personnel on duty can immediately test power transmission.
