Meaning And Classification Of Transformer Core

2024-08-03 17:13:01

The core is the main part of the magnetic circuit in the transformer. It is usually composed of hot rolled or cold rolled silicon steel sheets with a high silicon content and a surface coated with insulating paint. The iron core and the coils around it constitute a complete electromagnetic induction system. The amount of power transmitted by the power transformer depends on the material and cross-sectional area of the iron core.
1, high-frequency class: iron powder core Ferritecore
Ferritecore is used in high frequency transformers. It is a ceramic magnet with spinel crystal structure. The metals commonly used at present are manganese (Mn), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), magnesium (Mg) and copper (Cu).
2, low frequency: silicon steel (LAMINATION)
Silicon steel sheet for low-frequency transformers, according to the production process can be divided into A: forging burning (black), N: no forging burning (white) two. According to the shape can be divided into: EI type, UI type, C type, mouth.
3. COIL Class
The COIL class can be divided into three types.
(1) TOROID ring core: the O-type laminated, or rolled by silicon steel sheet. This kind of core is very difficult to wind.
(2) RODCORE
(3) DRUMCORE: drum-shaped iron core.
