In the transformer there is a term called the DC magnetization of the transformer. This phenomenon has no small impact on the transformer. Dc magnetization phenomenon: When the secondary winding of the rectifier transformer has a DC component, the DC component flows through the secondary winding, the iron core is excited, which is the DC magnetization phenomenon, the phenomenon often occurs in the half-wave circuit, its hazard is easy to saturate the iron core and increase the loss. Therefore, if you want to see the loss of the transformer, you can directly look at the DC magnetization phenomenon of the transformer. You can save a lot of procedures in between. The DC magnetization of transformers is also classified.
Dc magnetization is divided into DC pulsating current magnetization method and DC constant current magnetization method. The former is simpler in electrical implementation than the latter, and is generally used for the magnetization of components in the residual magnetic field detection method. In the active magnetic field detection, this magnetization will produce a strong AC magnetic field signal in the detection signal, increasing the complexity of the detection signal processing and reducing the signal-to-noise ratio of the detection signal. Dc constant current magnetization method has higher requirements for current sources, and the excitation current is generally several amperes or even hundreds of amperes. Like the AC magnetization method, the magnetization strength of the DC magnetization method can be easily adjusted by controlling the size of the current, but with the increase of continuous use time, the heating of the electromagnet is difficult to avoid.
